With extreme pleasure and pride I extend my felicitations to St. Dominic’s Academy, Shikohabad for bringing out this edition of the school magazine, Footprints of St. Dominic’s Academy. The significance of it can be estimated by the fact that it is the most appropriate medium of expression of the student’s articulate and genuine thoughts.
It encourages creativity in the students which is an indispensable part of the school curriculum aimed at overall personality development. This is an age of achievement, provided one perseveres in whatever he or she tries. It is said that success is sold in the open market. You and I can buy it; infact any one can buy it provided one is willing to pay a price. To quote former president of India, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam “Dreams are not those you get when you sleep, but dreams are those that don’t let you sleep.” Great men were not great when they were born nor when they started their career, but made themselves great by learning, learning and learning.
Hence, one can develop the skills to answer all the queries of life and the sky is the one’s limit. The school, in this short span of time, has made rapid strides in all spheres and is striving hard to achieve higher standards of excellence. This achievement shows the earnest dedication and the hard work put in by the Principal and staff of the School.
Work while you work, play while you play;
Eat while you eat, study while you study;
That is the way to be happy and gay.
